Error code e01 f08

Knowed as F8 E1 error code...
This code indicates there maybe a problem with the water supply to the washer. Turn on the water. Check the household faucets to see if the hot and cold water faucets are turned on. Completely open both faucets for proper fill.

NOTE: Both hot and cold water must be connected to the washer and turned on; the washer will not properly operate with only one incoming source of water.

Turn off the water and remove inlet hoses from the inlet valves in the back of the washer. Inside the inlet valves are screens. Remove any accumulated film or particles from the screens. Reinstall hoses, turn on water, and check for leaks. See the Installation Instructions for details; you can find them by entering your model number in the search tool below.

Is the water pressure less than 10 psi? If the water pressure is too low, the washer may not properly operate. To find out your exact pounds-per-square-inch (psi) value, contact your local water utility company.

Are you using HE High Efficiency detergent? Use only HE High Efficiency detergent. Using non-HE detergent, or more than the manufacturer's recommended amount of detergent, can cause excessive suds. The excess suds can prevent the washer from detecting the incoming water.

Concentrated detergents labeled 2x and higher will require a small amount of detergent based on load size. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations.

To remove the error display, press Power once. Then press Power again to restart the washer. If pressing Power does not work:
Unplug the washer or disconnect the power for one minute.
Plug in the washer or reconnect the power.
Re-select the cycle and press Start.

NOTES:
* On some washers, when the washer is started for the first time after this error code, it will begin to drain. You will not be able to pause or cancel the cycle for about 8 minutes while it drains. This is normal.
* If the error remains on the display, and all of the other conditions above have been checked, call for service.

Hope this helps. Your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

How do I access the filter

ON THE LOWER FRONT OF THE MACHINE THERE IS A COVER THAT CAN BE REMOVEDWITH A COIN OR SCREW DRIVER ---- HAS 2 TWIST SCREWS HOLDING IT ------ONCE REMOVED YOU WILL SEE A DRAIN PLUG ON THE LEFT LOWER CORNER --THIS HAS A PLASTIC TURN KNOB THAT OPENS BY HAND ... SOMETIMES A BIT HARD TO OPEN BUT TURN KNOB LEFT AND WILL OPEN ....... WATER WILL START TO LEAK OUT AS YOU OPEN THIS BUT DON'T WORRY -- THIS HAS TO HAPPEN --- NOT ALL THAT MUCH WATER BUT BE PREPARED TO MOP IT UP ......... NEXT PULL THE DRAIN FILTER OUT FROMTHIS OPENING AND WASH IT OUT ... ALSO REACH IN TO THE OPENING WITH FINGERS ASTHERE MAY BE SOME BLOCKAGE BEHIND THE FILTER AS WELL.. BE CAREFUL NOT TODAMAGE THE PLASTIC PROPELLER DEEP INSIDE THE HOLE , THIS IS WHAT SPINS AND TAKES THE WATER OUT OF THE MACHINE ....... VERY EASY TO DO ---- JUST NEED TODO IT ONCE TO UNDERSTAND THE PROCEDURE... UNPLUG MACHINE BEFORE CLEANING

Hello, I have a whirlpool duet wfw94hexlo washer.

Great! you have the MCU (motor control unit) need to replace. Removing the rear panel so you are able to see the motor and MCU. Replacement is easy, almost no screw on the board.

I suspect I need to clean the filter on my washer,

Everyone says to pull the front access panel off but my WFW94HEX machine also had no front panel. I took the back panel off and accessed the pump filter from the back side. All the rubber hoses were also coated with mildew and I cleaned them all out as well (the connection from the drain to the pump, the air vent, etc.). The smell is reduced but not gone. Not hard to do but I suspect it will not permanently fix the problem.
