Kenwood KRF-V5060D Receiver - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Sounds ok but not dialogue...
It sounds to me like you are using the receiver in surround sound mode and the click you hear is the center channel turning off. If you have another center channel speaker, try swapping that for the one you are currently using. If that doesn't fix the issue, then try replacing the speaker wire. If that still doesn't fix it, then the issue is probably inside the receiver and may be either an output transistor that is failing when hot or an electrolytic capacitor that allows too much DC offset when hot.

My surround sound system is
I had the same problem with my Kenwood KRF 5060d
First just sometimes I used to hear this noise click clack from the device while the sound disappeared. Then the problem became more frequent and no mere bearable.
So I've tryed to restablish the weldings on the board in correspondence to the speakers connections and the relay connections. Nothing changed, so I've substituted the relay OMRON G5PA 28 NW 12VDC 2 contacts normally open (6 pins) with the new FINDER 40.52 (8 pins) letting free the 2 pins for the normally close contacts.
Now my KRF 5060d is working properly with the only problem that sometimes the dispaly disappear and I have to apply a little pression on it with my fingers in order switch it on. Maybe I've compromised some contacts in the frontal pannel while unmounting even if it wasn't necessary.

Kenwood amplifier 5.1 sound keeps droping out .
You have a component (probably a transistor) that is overheating, or possibly a capacitor going bad. The circuit board will have to be troubleshot, and the bad component identified. Fortunately, heat problems can be figured out by buying some Freeze Spray (Freon), and when the unit acts up, you spray suspected components, slowly...until it works again. This will identify which component you need to replace by unsoldering, etc. I would start in the power supply area, if you can identify it...chances are that's where your problem is. Good luck, hope this helps.

The standby indicator blinks and the unit will not
Contact Kenwood website - usually a malfunction in the unit requiring service, and you cannot reset it. HOWEVER, try the usual unplug, wait and plug-in again. Make sure that there's not a shorted speaker - so unplug all speakers and try using just headphones. Also, make sure you have air ventilation around the unit - nothing on top of it, as that will cause it to overhead and shutdown. Try these items and report back. Good Luck!

You should find out who does the service for your reciever in your area. This type of fault can get fairly involved. It will require trouble shooting and then ordering the necessary parts.
The fault can be the motor, or the electroncs in the servo drive amplifier for the motor.

SCREEN LIGHT COMES AND GOES AS IT PLEASES...
First a couple of questions:
1) Does the panel seem to behave this way more after the set warms up or is it just random?
2) Is anything else effected or are you just loosing the front panel display?
Thanks,
Dan
