Kevin you probably reduced the battery level to the point where your charger does not recognize your request,which is quite common with Li-Po batteries.If you remove the battery and apply same voltage for 30 s to one minute from other source, battery or power supply using paralell set up ie.positive to positive, negative to negative for the suggested time,you should create enough voltage in your phone battery to be recognized by your charger.after applying external power, reinstall phone battery and proceed with normal charging procedure. If you want to access your granddaughter's iCloud account which is using your Apple login credentials do the following.
