If you have air in a hydraulic brake then you will loose braking ability, the lever will be soft and may not even actuate the brake caliper. I've never heard of brake fluid expanding from heat, but I suppose it would be possible. It sounds like you take you bike to your Bike Dealer and have them service your brakes, making sure the rotors aren't warped/bent and the pads rotor are within wear tolerance. Inspect the brake lines for any damage or kinks and perhaps have them perform a fluid change and bleed the system.

needs a gear adjustment hopefully. it might have a stretched chain along with worn cassette teeth. if you have ridden alot of miles in the smaller gears in the rear you might have worn them out. you would have to replace chain and rear sprockets/cassette

Brake bleeding can be a long, messy process. With the reservoir open and full, apply brake and hold it. Now loosen the bleeder valve and let fluid drain until the flow stops or the brake lever compresses. KEEP HOLDING THE BRAKE LEVER, now close the bleeder valve. Now release brake lever. Fill reservoir again, repeat until all bubbles come out of the line and you get restored brake tension. It could take awhile. By the way, what happened such that you lost braking to begin with?

You have several options: 1. Follow the instructions for the computer that came with it or that can be found on the manufacturer website. 2. Go to a bike co-op for help 3. Have a bike shop install it. 4. Provide some useful info here such as the make and model of the bike computer. Without that nobody can help you.

Check youtube my friend, there are great instructional videos there.Remove wheel from front forks, release any air from tyre, using 2 plastic tyre removal tools to remove tyre. Further instructions will be found on youtube.
