All LCD tv's made in the last 10 years support digital tv out of the box and do not need a converter box. However if you want to pick up local stations over the air, you may need an external antenna. Otherwise if you have cable tv or other services, you can connect your service to your tv directly. You may also want to call your service provider (if applicable) if you have issues connecting it to your tv.

Fixed it !!! Used the approach by Guest; replaced both of the capacitors with 0.1 microfared caps from Ratshack. It's been working for two days. Thanks Guest.

use your tv remote and click menu, then click setting, or "TV" if tv is an option. choose "channels" or something of that nature, then run a channel scan. if you're using bunny ears, set the option under channel search to "air". hope it works out for ya! :)

421 423 replace with .1uf metallized polyester film capacitor radio shack.

hi....luckily your TV isn't totally scrap...it has no shorted wires or blown fuse....the problem is coming from the power supply section.....if you can check it out..try to look for bloated or bulgy capacitor....if you see one or two..replace it w/ same value...mostly electrolytic type...test run after replacing...good day..

You need to completely UNPLUG it from the wall for 30 minutes to let it reset. If it still does not work then.

please check the battery of your remote, that the main cause your problem.

No, because screen casting wasn't invented and it isn't a Smart television. Time for a new one.
