Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll down cd-dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question /exclamation mark ? ! or a red X right click to update driver you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd restart your computer then plug them back this should activate the found new hardware wizard if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem if you cant see your disk drive in windows explorer Close all open programs

Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

Upper Filters

If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose DeleteAfter deleting the keys, close the registry editorReboot your computerOpen My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. Most DVD burners require a power cable as well as a USB cable. Check the slots on the back to be sure, check for any holes that are round with a pin in the middle, or possibly three different holes in some cases. If you see a slot like that, you need your power cable.

click start control panel administrive tools ,computer management ,device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you should see a yellow question mark? right click to reinstall drivers or if you can see your usb but its not working ports(com&lpt)right click update driver or scroll to disk drives if you can see your drive + to expand right click you should see options to update driver,disable,uninstall scan for hardware changes. or select properties you should see options in the general tab to troubleshoot,policies,volumes,driver and details under the driver tab you will have the options to check the driver details,update driver,rollback driver or uninstall then click start all programs open windows explorer click on my computer you should see your usb device navigate to the audio files the select the audio files right click copy and then paste them into your computer or select all media files click and hold the cursor and drag and drop them into usb divice or right click and select send to you your usb device hope this helps

hi right click the light scribe icon, then go to properties then click find location, look for the light scribe icon in the folder , then right click that then properties, and view the version...hope that helps

You should be able to connect every Optical drive to mac and i guess you can fit it in, becuase both mac and windows ,and linux are using same hardware systems, just in different connections.

That option would be set in Roxio, not the drive itself.

Make sure that your machine meets the requirement for speed and memory required to write DVD's at this density.

Go here http://www.lightscribe.com/ It's not a manual but should have all the info you need. Don't forget you need special DVD's to make it work

Try different software. Download nero trial at www.nero.com

1. check for keyboard stuck keys. 2. Clean memory and Memory slot well and fix back memory. 3. check capacitors close to the memory slot if they are not damaged, if damaged replace the capacitor with a new capacitor.

Yes. DVD drives are intercompatable for the most part.these days. just pull out the old one, install the new one, and the OS will install the drivers and it will work just fine.
