It seems as though you may have the wrong profile loaded for your Mac Book Pro screen which will affect the color temperature.Open the Displays pane of System Preferences and select the Color tab.Select the desired color profile.

Or you can also create a custom profile by clicking the Calibrate button in the Color tab of the Displays preference pane. This will open the Display Calibrator Assistant. Using expert mode, you can choose the color temperature you prefer.

If the Problem persists, then more often it is a Hardware Fault. You need to take the Mac Book to Apple Showroom to get it fixed.

Hello: When the charger blew it may of blown a surface mount protection fuse in the unit itself. I suggest you send the unit in for repair. Servicing this unit yourself will be difficult to do as you will need the exact type fuse to replace on the main board of this unit. The cost to repair should not exceed the cost of the unit itself.

Not sure if this is a solution for you. I had a problem with the DC power input jack on the player going bad. The batteries would no longer charge. I bought an extra battery and a USB charger from ebay. Now I'm good for two battery cycles and it works again. Although it will never charge it's own batteries or work off of AC power it does still work.

your harddrive is corrupt..you have to reformat it

Not sure if I understand your question. If the screen is a bunch of colors with some jagged lines it may have been cracked. I had mine for less than a week and dropped a clock on it. Not a happy camper. It can still be used for transport of video. I have an old sony monitor in my garage office. I load the AV700 from my computer and plug it into the monitor to watch videos in the garage.

If the Usb is not damaged first Try to connect to another mac system and check if it recognises the device...If not the Usb of the device is damaged!!..For your additional information!!..
The USB Port of the AV700 can be configured as "Hard Disc" or "Windows Device". Your Mac will recognize the device only if it is on Hard Drive mode.You can change the USB Port configuration of the device, in the menu Display Setup Screen > System> USB Port.

Make sure that the sound cables are connected,If you are using the RED BLUE GREEN cables,they do not carry sound.You have to run a set of sound cables RED AND WHITE to the Archos from the cable BOX or whichever component you are recording from.Good Luck.

Sounds as though your back light for the LCD may have gone. It is not a job the DIY repairer can easily complete therefor you should return it to Archos or a certified repair center for an estimate. If it is in warranty Archos MAY cover it, though if they deem it has been dropped will likely charge you.

just a though I believe this follow is talking about his AV700E pocketdish trouble. I am here now with the same issue he is talking about AV700E pocketdish loads program video from the receiver onto the pocketdish, but when play on the pocketdish is selected it goes black screen and shuts down. Any advise?

I would suggest to check the plug on the av700 and see the polarity, it might be indicated there.
In regards to using any adapter, you could as long is the same polarity. The original adapter is 6 Volts and 2 Amperes.

Check the internet connection. The television can't update if it can't see the internet. Resetting it breaks the previous settings. Just for fun, reboot the router as well and wait 15 minutes until all the lights come back on. Then reestablish the television connection to the router.
