Sanyo PLV Z1 Multimedia Projector Questions & Answers
My Sanyo PLV21 is about
Hello
Dirt sticked [fungul infection] to lens will make this problem. If you are aware to disassemble the lens assembly, do a clean to it. Lamp trouble won't produce this type of fault. Actually this is a silled work, need care and, patience and all te tools to disassemble it. Lens cleaning solution can be bought from most of the canera sparepart shops. Blowing air with blower does not remove this sticked dirt on the inner surface of lens. OK.
I have a PLV-Z1 about 5 yrs old, just replaced the
Hi,
It's possible that this problem is caused by overheating. There is a "Warning Temp" LED which should light if this is the case.
The following steps may help.
1) Ensure that there is ample ventilation around the projector, ie air vents are not blocked by walls, or have other heat sources nearby.
2) Ensure that the room temprature an humidity are not excessive.
3) Clean the air filters. Turn off the projector and disconnect the power. Turn over the projector and remove the air filter by pulling the latch upwards. It is located behind the leg nearest the lens side)/ Clean the air filter with a brush or wash out particles (it must be dry before reinserting). Replace the air filter, making sure it is fully reinserted. Clean the air intake vents (there are two of them near the air filter on the underside, nearer the back of the unit).
If the problem is caused by overheating these steps should help.
Hi,
I have the Sanyo PLV-Z1.
The first thing to be checked in such a situation is the connecting cable. Often times these cables get discrepancies midway and these in turn cause poor picture quality. Try using a different cable to confirm if it is indeed the cable.
Secondly check the settings for brightness and the contrast settings if they have been tampered with or reset they could also cause such picture quality.
Finally regardless of the lamp replacement light coming on if the lamp is weak it could bring about poor picture quality. Check the above options by the order in which i have arranged them.
Hope this solution has been helpful?
PLV-Z1 no longer powering up - Ready light is green and the Lamp light is red
I have a Sanyo XU35. Mine was starting up and showed a picture for about 15 - 30 seconds then shutting down. My lamp warning light was not coming on. When I put it in for repairs it turned out to be the lamp that needed replacing. The technician said it is not uncomman for the lamp to be gone and the lamp warning light not to come on. I got my lamp on e-bay from ping_ngo for a great price.
Sanyo plv-z1 wont turn on
Hi
This is normally a clear indication that the lamp is in need of replacement.
Take out the lamp and check for any damage like discolouration or bubbles just to make sure before you invest in a new lamp.

Sanyo AWD-AQ4000(S) U3 error code
The "U3" error code on a Sanyo AWD-AQ4000(S) air conditioner indicates that there is a problem with the unit's compressor. This could be caused by a variety of issues, such as a faulty compressor, a malfunctioning control board, or a refrigerant leak.
To solve this issue, I recommend the following steps:
- Make sure that the air conditioner is properly plugged in and receiving power.
- Check for any visible damage to the unit, such as bent fins or loose wires.
- Check the air filter and clean or replace it if it is dirty.
- Check the outdoor unit for any visible damage or debris that may be blocking the airflow.
- Check the refrigerant levels and make sure they are at the proper level.
If those does not work, it may be time to check with a professional!
Sanyo PLC-XU305 Projector
Being an old projector and possibly it has an old lamp fitted.
The lamp as it ages produces more heat. The fans as they age unless cleaned regularly. This build up of heat damages firstly the blue LCD imager and then the red.
Nothing can be done about that except replace the LCD imagers.
As a Sanyo Authorised service department, we used to charge them out at £1031 plus fitting.
