Good day! We were watching TV when suddenly

will tv turn back on. if not then it was sturck by lightning. i found that it does not have to hit directly.it can be caused by a power serge. witch means repair costs. when you get it fixed you need to by a power surge prower cord and plug your tv into it an all other things you don't won't sturck.

When I cut it on it says channel locked enter passcode how do you get it to unlock

Press the "Menu" button to set the lock code for your JVC TV. A padlock icon will appear on the menu display.

Press "Zero" to access the lock code function then use the left and right arrows to select the four-digit number for your code. Use the up and down arrows to move to the next area of the display.

Select the up or down arrow to finish your lock code then use the left or right arrow to save your lock code settings and exit the menu. You can return to this display if you forget your four-digit lock code and set another code.

Write your four-digit lock code down and keep it in a safe, private area.

Select the locked TV channel you desire to watch or want to unlock. A message will appear on the display requesting you to enter your lock code to unlock the channel. Unlock your JVC TV by entering your lock code on the 10-key pad. The message "Invalid Lock Code!" will appear on the screen if you enter the wrong lock code.

Tv started making a fizzing

is the fizzing noise when the screen is really bright? if so the scan coils on the tube have come loose and need glueing down with nail varnish i know it sounds strange but it really works

if the fizzing is coming from the tv then you have whats called dry joints

dry-joint_small.jpg
and this will need to be resoldered or the tv will shut down if you can do this yourself then the best way to find them is to remove the back and turn the tv on its side turn on the tv and turn off the light you will be able to see the dry joints sparking on the baord

hope this helps

Can't change from MONO to

Hello
Can't make sound from mono to auto is your problem I thinks and posts this solution.
Hit the "Menu" button and surf through, come to "Sound Adjust" window.
The settings allow you to change and adjust sound in your TV. There are Bass, Treble and Balance control to adjust to your individual taste.
To adjust them
1. Press Menu button.
2. Press UP or DOWN button to select the desired item.
3. Press => or 4. Press EXIT button when finished.
When adjusting the parameter of "Balance" control, always set it to mid position to get stereo sound from both speakers. If it is set to any extreme end, there will be no output from the speaker of that side, and will hear as mono.
If you press "0" [Zero] button, you can reset the sound settings to it Factory settings.
To select 'Streo mode;
1. Press "Menu" button.
2. Press UP or DOWN button to select MTS [Multi-channel Telivision Sound].
3. Press => or [The ON AIR arrowtells you if a broadcast is in stereo AND/OR contains the SAP.
Press "Exit" button when finished.

Keep the TV in stereo mode to get the best sound quality. The sound will work in stereo

mode even if a certain broadcast is in mono sound only.

Choose the mono setting to reduce excessive noise on a certain channel or broadcast.
Selecting SAP will allow you to hear an alternative soundtrack, if one is available.

Tv will not power up.

Silly question but, did you try to reset the TV by unplugging it for 2 minutes then plugging back in? Its worth a shot if nothing else.
