1...You must download and install Windows Media Player 11 on your computer.
NOTE...Some older MP3 players will not work with Windows Media Player 11 or Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 11.
If this happens to you, then you will have to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and install Windows Media Player 10.
2...After you have downloaded and installed Media Player on your computer.
3...Open Media Player on your computer.
4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player.
5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your Data/Sync cord, be sure that Windows Media Player is on.
6...Media player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it.
7...After it is sync'ed with the computer,you can add the music you have installed into Windows Media Player to your MP3 Player.

You need to change your USB Port... try the back of your computer. Or you need a firmware update.

its is because the drive is corrupted.. you need to format your mp3 only then you can acsess it again

The Input/Output or I/O error is usually a pretty bad error on any Disk or Flash drive! It looks that this I/O error might have corrupted your media player drive directory (commonly know as FAT table).
Confirm the problem by trying to plug your device in a different USB port on your PC/Laptop: if you are still getting the I/O error, you can try to repair your player drive by using Open Windows Explorer -> Properties -> Tools -> Error-Checking facilities.
If Error-Checking cannot repair your drive, then you will unfortunately have to re-FORMAT your device Flash drive and loose everything on that drive (hope you have a good backup on your PC/Laptop)!

It is likely that the files loaded are not true MP3, therefore the PC -which can cope with WAV and other formats will play them but the player that read only MP3 cannot. Are you sure the files loaded are truly MP3?

Go to Start-> Run -> type "cmd" -> format F: then press "y" and another "y" if it asks you again if the system couldn't read the drive itself. Then this means that your storage on the MP3 Player (that shows as F on your computer) is now broken.

What do you mean by not reconized? Does it still show up when you plug it in and just tell you its not reconized? or does it just not show anything at all? If it comes up then I suggest going to Lexars website and downloading the drivers for your LPD-400 so your computer will be able to interact with it...make sure its the mac drivers.

format your player but make a back up of your music.

Ok will thats funny.... formatt the unit by accessing it through to my computer on your desktop , right click on my comp go to manage and then go to disk management and format it. Also try different usb port.

If the display is working, you have audio. Check your amplifier. 1300Watt adaptor ... This unit draws a very low power and that is not needed.

1. Power Off: Turn off the device.
