Keeps displaying message database error please

The first thing I would do is charge the battery fully. Just leave in the cradle overnight. Next, do a blank sync with mtrip (just sync with no files selected). If you're still showing the database error, reflash the firmware and start over. If you're still showing the empty battery...buy a new battery. They're available on ebay.http://www.mrobe.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1181&start=30

Freezes on Logo

Odds are pretty good that the hard drive is messed up. This happened to me on 2 different zens. Can sent to Creative for repair, but if no warranty, then it would be easier to just buy a new one.

There is an error with the HDD (Hard Drive)

It has either malfunctioned or the interface cable has been disconnected or not connected properly.
If the HDD still spins (listen for the spinup) then it has either malfunctioned or cable has not been connected properly.

My m:robe wont work at all!

If the screen doesnt even light up then you pretty much stuffed.

If battery isnt charging then the battery's life is gone. you cant really get another battery all you can do is remove it to prevent damage and use it plugged in.

Open the case by unscrewing the four screws (2on bottom and 2 on side)

move the HDD (hard disk) and take out battery and unplug

replace HDD and lid.

My camera no longer starts up

I purposely did this to my m:robe
The camera connection has gone loose or disconnected.
If you feel like, you can open the back case and try to fix.

1. Unscrew the 4 screws. (2on bottom, 2 on both sides)
2. Above the camera is a piece of red plastic push down on it and try the camera again.
3. If it still doesnt work try pulling it off and pushing it on again.
I got it working so you should too.

contact me if u want

I have a problem with the music files in my playlist

The best solution is to install m:trip on another computer and sync with nothing
then re add all your songs but first delete them all including the playlist then sync again.

My Olympus m:robe MR-500i MP3... Problem:

try:

click Start>Run then copy and paste the following:
C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\

replace 'Username" with the name of your user account and press enter

In the new window, find olympus and make sure there are no important data in it and delete the folder
then do the same in
C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data

You will need to re-syn your m:robe and re add songs.

Or you can try sync on a different computer and resync on your own computer

Erroe Code : 0400001F

This error code is very hard to fix. You may end up having to send it back to Olympus or buy a new one. But here's a few things to try and you may get lucky. Connect the remote, power on the player and hold down the heart, mode and play buttons on the remote at the same time. This re-sets the player. If this doesn't work, remove the back cover. There are 4 small screws that hold the back plate on. Once the cover is removed, unplug the battery. Plug it back in after 30 seconds. The player should re-boot. You can also try disconnecting the hard drive and reconnecting it. Unplug the battery before disconnecting the hard drive. If none of these suggestions work, you may be out of luck. i know of no other ways to fix this error code.

???caution please connect AC??????

From what I've learned from the manuel, and such, is that the dock is the only way to charge it, and M:trip software is the only software that is equiped to be used with an m:robe...so I would say that you should try to get a new dock, and software. If you can't find any try going to olympus them selves and maybe you can download the software directly from them

M:trip not responsive to m:robe

Mine did that to me a few times. One thing you could try is to make sure the driver is activated. Do this by using the start menu and clicking run. then type in msconfig. the go to the tab services, and make sure the program Mrobeservice is checked and running. Hope that helps!
