Everything seems to be zoomed in a little
It sounds like Ratio problem. It should be a button on your TV remote and or Cable TV box that will allow you to set the picture size to 4:3 Ratio, 16:9 or FULL Look at your manuals they use sveral terms, sometime they use picture, Zoom or Ratio.Best of Luck

Vhs tape is stuck and message reads "tape
Unplug the TV/VCR/DVD Combo from the main power for a couple of minutes, the unit may eject the tape at the power ON. You can also try openening the unit, reset the loading posts and eject the tape by manually turning gears, motors etc..You have to know what you're doing otherwise, you will do more damage or get injured and don't forget HIGH VOLTAGE CAN KILL.Best of lock

Dvd does not load message
Hello
Check with an other new disc. Check it with other disc that was running smoothly before. It that disc aslo not reads well, make sure that either its Laser assembly Lens is dirty, or the laser assembly itsef has damaged. Check it with an audio CD and MP3. If these work well and only it does nor reads DVD only, the fault is with lased assembly itsef. Put a head cleaning disc in to it and play it for two times. If this helps you, the lased head unit was dirty. If this also does not helps you, the Laser Pickup Assemby is defective and should be replaced with identical in both number and type. OK.

The tv keeps losing color
Hello,
The remaining red retrace are the giveaway that this is most likely not a CRT problem.
(If there were no red lines, it could be the filament for the red gun of the CRT going on and off due to a bad connection inside the CRT - bad news.)
How is a black and white picture? (Turn down the color control).
If B/W picture is good, then the problem is somewhere back in the chroma decoder circuitry.
Check the video input to the CRT video driver board and signals on that board. If B/W picture is also bad, then you can compare red and green signals to determine where they are becoming different. The red lines in your description sounds like the red video output circuit is drifting and messing up the background level, blanking, screen, or other setting. Could be a capacitor or other component.
Hope this will help...

Power problem
You have not mentioend the device. You can check for the fuse point, or a failure of the surge protector in the mains circuit.

When I play a DVD, the picture is green with some blue accents
First check the cable from the dvd to the tv, if it only happens when you use the dvd player then it is the lead that is the problem, unplug the lead from both blow any dust of both the connectors and plugs, then replace them ensuring they are in as tight in as possible on both, if you still get the same problem i suggest getting a different cable and trying that.
The other thing that could coarse this is the lense inside the dvd, get hold of a dvd lense cleaner and give that a try, also clean the dvd disk itself.

Everything seems to be zoomed
More than likely you have either the cable remote or TV remote in a zoomed in mode, Look for a "format" button and press it while watching the picture. Since most TV's are now 16:9 format (wider than height) most broadcasts are the same. So to fit on your 4:3 format (almost square) TV the broadcast being 16:9 would leave black bars on top and bottom of your screen to fit the entire picture on your 4:3 screen, so there are modes for formatting the picture to "fit your viewing preference. Also when a broadcast in in 4:3 format (square) and your TV is 16:9 format you may end up with black bars on the sides of the picture. Either (a cable converter/receiver) or the TV remote more than likely has to change the format of the screen.
different 16:9 formats
4:3 format with 4:3 broadcast on 16:9 TV set to pillar box format
same 4:3 format with 4:3 broadcast on 16:9 TV with the format set to stretch format
I hope this helps and good luck!

How can I fix the SLEEP function? My remote
Unplug the TV from the wall, leave unplugged for a day or two, the TV may reset itself. You will lose all the programmed channels and may be other stored settings. The best is to get a universal remote for $10 or less.
Good luck

Audio not working
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Please
check the audio with a DVD player or cable box. Also try using component cables
if using a RCA component cable or vice versa. Check that all of the cables
are plugged into the back of the tv & MUTE button is not pressed. Do a hard reset, then go into the on-screen-menu and
make sure the sap is off and stereo in on.Perform a hard reset by unplugging
the power cord for 4 hours; then power it again. Also try audio from
Phone and 3.5mm jacks(if equipped). If this all didn't resolves the issue then
it is an Audio IC orbad speakers/speaker connection.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee
