Clean all the rollers in the ADF with a damp lint free cloth. Depending on wear, they may need to be changed, but try cleaning first. Where the paper stack rests there will be either a pad or roller, make sure it is clean too.

Your copier utilizes a print drum cleaning blade similar to a windshield wiper. That blade is distorted or worn , affecting that area of drum. IF a techie, you could remove BOTH print drum & blade, clean BOTH with cotton "ROUNDS" & SILICONE car polish. Buff drum thoroughly dry, reassemble.

Push the System Menu/Counter Button Using arrow keys find the Machine Default-press enter Use the factory set PIN (should be 2500)-press enter Arrow to PIN# change-press enter Using key pad choose new number-press enter then press the reset button

If it doesn't happen on internal reports or on copies made from the glass (not using the doc feeder) then it can only be on the narrow glass that's on the left of the large glass. Focus in on the area where the line shows. It may be a tiny dot, but that's all it needs to put the line down.

try this. enter "10871087" from keypad. you should now be in maintenance mode. enter "163"press "start or print" key. you should see a screen that says "execute" or it may say "reset". cursor or highlight "execute" and press "start" key. now press "stop/clear" once or twice. then press "01" then "start" to exit maint. mode. very important!! as soon as you press "01" and you see "please wait" open your front door. wait 2 secs, then close door. that should get you going unless there is a true failure. good luck and you may want to write this procedure down as it may happen sometime again.

Open and close the document feeder (where you put your pages that you want copied), take out any papers on there and place them back in the document feeder. press the start button. Good luck !

The error code C-0410 indicates an communications error with the document feeder.

It normally indicates the cable between the document feeder and copier is ether has a loose connection or the cable has a short and needs to be replaced.

It can also be an issue with the document feeder driver circuit board or the copier engine circuit board.

take a look at your paper in the drawer. the guides sometimes get shifted. also, the blue locking latch can get busted.
