Dvd driver or fat sys problem
do check if your drive is broken!
defrag your harddisk, to speed it up a bit.
do state which cds and dvds your drive does not read, if theyre burnt one's, then your drive may not support them or they have not been finished properly.
get the freeware burnatonce tool, install andrun it, find out which cd/dvd types your drive supports via tools/device info, it'll tell ya!
now check the cd/dvds if they match or not.
good luck

Error 105
It's possible that you have some kind of malware issue. I would download and run Malwarebytes from
here. Update the definitions and run a quick scan to see if it finds anything. It would be best to do this from Safe Mode to make sure nothing else is running. Also would be good to test if this happens in Safe Mode as well. I would recommend booting up into Safe Mode with Networking so you can still get on the internet.
To boot into Safe Mode, Restart your computer and keep tapping F8 usually right before the Windows XP screen appears. If you see the Windows XP screen then you have gone too far.
The other solution would be if you have a corrupted operating system. At this point I would just backup your data and reformat you PC to start out fresh.

Forgot password to xp media edition
Please download the ERD Winternal Image from http://www.mininova.org/tor/857048 and burn it in a CD.
Then boot your PC from the CD. Select your Windows Media Edition for which you have forgot password. Without asking for any password you will get into Windows. Then goto control panel->User Accounts->Select the Username[for which u want to change password]. Then use change password option to change password. Then Reboot the PC and remove the CD. Now your windows password will be reset.
Thanks.

Windows XP Media Center stopped working
Seems like a virus or spyware on the computer:
Uninstall any existing security program like norton or mcafee by using their removal tools from http://pcsafety.us/
from the same site download and run AVG antivirus free, Super Antispyware - update and perform a complete scan on all the drives.
If these dont work you need to run combofix but that may crash your pc so keep it as a last resort.
You can take it to geek squad but they wond do all this they will simply format your harddrive and you lose all your data.
Hope this helped!
Rate this fix if it worked'

Missing " My Music " folder
In Windows Explorer on the left side pane, under Desktop should be a folder "Documents". Click on "Documents" and in the right side pane will be a listing of all the folders and documents inside the "Documents" folder. This is where "My Music" should be. If it is not there, you can create it.
In the right side pane, on a blank area, right click to get the "Options Menu". Move the mouse down to "New" and left click on it. A second set of menus will appear beside the first set. At the top of this second set is "Folder", click on that. You have now created "New Folder" and it is ready to edit the folder name. Type "My Music" and "New Folder" should become "My Music". If not, click once on "New Folder" click again and you are in edit mode, type in "My Music" and press [Enter]. Now, right click on the "My Music" folder and on the menu selection click "Properties" at the bottom. A window will appear, choose the "Customize" tab and in the top area "What kind of folder do you want?", click the down arrow in the selector box ans choose "Musin (best for audio files and playlists). In the bottom section, "Change Icon" and a window will open with a large selection of Icons. Scroll through them and pick a folder with a music note in it. Then clcik "OK". That window will close. Click "OK" on the remaining window and you 'MY Music" folder is set up.

Cant acess safe mode in windows xp, just cycles startup screens
Here are some steps to use MSCONFIG to force your computer into SAFE MODE
- Click on Start and then Run.
-
In the text box in the Run window, type msconfig and click OK. This will open the System Configuration Utility program.
Note: Do not make changes in the System Configuration Utility
other than those outlined here to avoid causing serious system issues.
This utility controls a number of startup activities other than those
involved with Safe Mode.
-
Click on the BOOT.INI tab located at the top of the System Configuration Utility window.
-
Check the checkbox next to /SAFEBOOT and click OK.
-
You will then be prompted to either Restart, which will restart the PC immediately, or Exit Without Restart, which will close the window and allow you to restart the PC manually.
-
After the restart, the PC will automatically boot into Windows XP Safe Mode.
Note: Windows XP will continue to boot into Safe Mode until the System Configuration Utility is configured to again boot normally.
-
When your work in Safe Mode is complete, click on Start and then Run. Type msconfig in the text box and click OK.
This will again open the System Configuration Utility program.
-
Choose the Normal Startup radio button and click OK.
-
You will then be prompted to either Restart, which will restart the PC immediately, or Exit Without Restart, which will close the window and allow you to restart the PC manually.
-
After the restart, the PC will boot into Windows XP normally and will continue to do so.
