I have a Minolta DYNAX 5xi camera but no card, card reader or film. Please tell me where I can buy these?

Cards are action cards to do special things and are avalable on ebay And some dx lessons on the dx code and how you can make your own codes for non dx coded film.https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-film-DX-code-labels/https://www.markushartel.com/blog/learn-from-markus/trick-the-dx-sensorhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DX_encodingAnd buying dx coded film that might or might not be expired:https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=35mm+dx+film&rt=nc&_dcat=4201&_sacat=4201&vbn_id=7023352185&LH_ItemCondition=1000&_fsrp=1Hopes this helps a little. It is a fine camera and I wish everything would be like the minolta brand , the computer does a lot and i still like to have a mirror in my camera. Enjoy the fun of REAL photos not digital. I wish you and your loved ones joy this Christmas season. Your friend, Kevin

Film cartage broke missing parts

To repair this camera will be well over $100; my opinion not worth it. You would be better served purchasing another camera of the same type from ebay. An alternative terrific camera is the Pentax K1000, better yet K1000 SE. The SE has a split viewfinder, easy to focus. The K1000 have microprism that are more difficult to focus with especially in lower light; need good eyes. Then there is the Pentax K2, that at the time was their top of the line camera. All three cameras can be purchased for about $100-ish. Most will come with the Pentax 50mm f/2.0 lens.

My minolta 50.00 I camera will not come on, I have installed new batteries but nothing comes on. I put in new film and I it will not advance the film. Help.

Since no repair parts or info is available to the public all you can do is have the factory exchange it or replace it.

Minolta x500 shutter arm stuck

A Minolta X500 is a 15+ year old camera. The shutter arm is stuck in the winding position is an indication that the shutter mechanics are broken. Repair would be way more expensive then picking up a used model. Minolta has dropped out of the camera business, some older Sony digital cameras can use their lenses if you have a number of them. Zoom lenses are usually what comes with most camera kits.

This camera was introduced in 1985. It is highly unlikely that anyone would envisage it being still in use 40 years later.

Hi I have a minolta weathermatic dual 35 camera and it stopped working. It's dead. The batteries are new. Any ideas?

If the new batteries are good about the only thing you can do is check to see if the on/off switch is working properly. If it is the electronics are toasted and you may have to go shopping since a repair is more than likely not going to be cost effective.

The film advance lever is stuck on my Minolta

Have you rewound the film? If you rewind the file completely and pull out the rewind know, it will pop the back open . . . and can remove the film cassette. While the back is still open, complete the cycle on the winding crank. The winding crank should return to "Normal" arter you complete the winding cycle. When you close the back, everything should go back to normal.

Minolta 5000 Maxxum Auto/Manual, Did it rewind? How do I tell, I am an advanced photog, but this is new. Says 24 with 2 arrows right pointing. Should I darkroom it??? TY

Darkroom is always safest in these situations. Sounds like you don't have a manual - if you google the make and model, followed by the word Manual, you may be able to find one.

My minolta maxxum htsi has recently been cutting the negative in half any idea or suggestion to fix this ruined quite a few frames

Are these pictures being taken with flash ? If so, it could be that you are using too high a shutter speed for the entire frame to be exposed. Most cameras have a flash setting, usually around 1/150 to 1/200 second, and if you use a faster speed the shutter closes before the frame is fully exposed.
