Not sure why you want to remove the protective screen but to do this you have to remove the entire screen with frame and all 3 screens from the set. remove speaker grill(s) on front of set; you will find if the front control board is in the frame of the screen you will have to locate one or two plugs to disconnect the keyboard--the wires usually go down in past an inspection plate and can be unplugged(they are marked with letters and if two, they will be different so you cannot get them in the wrong way).
With the keyboard unplugged you will find several black philips screws on the bottom edge of the screen frame(left to right under it). Remove these and with help lift the screen unit(frame and screens) up about 4 inchs(it hooks inside on notched holders) It will then come out.
Now the hard part---most of these sets you have to remove both inner screens and even take the screen frame apart to get at the front screen---any finger prints on the screen may show in the picture.. The protective Screen is in a slot all the way around--I have seen a few who tried to pry it out from the front and either damaged the frame or the screens.
Again, I am not sure why you want to remove the outer protective screen---but just be careful if you do---those inner screens are very expensive if you have to replace them.
If this has been helpful at all--give me a vote here---I do this for free.
