Would a Pyramid 15" subwoofer work for my Yamaha synthasiser?

Do yourself a favor do not get anything Pyramid they are cheap for a reason and you will not get good bass response from them even in a optimal enclosure. If you want nice bass for little money go with lanzar opti 1535D sub you can pick one up for around $265 and will blow away Pyramid any day.

What size speakers do I have in my mercedes benz

I'll assume you don't have the Bose system, or else you wouldn't be looking for new ones, depending on your year. It's either going to be 6-1/2" or 6-3/4" The most popular speaker size — replace your factory speakers with some 6-1/2" car speakers for strong bass and improved clarity. Many models includes brackets that allow them to fit in slightly larger 6-3/4" openings. The 6-3/4" speaker, the largest round car speaker, fits in an increasing number of newer vehicles. They offer more cone area than the slightly smaller 6-1/2", so they add more bass to your system.
