D-Link Tmobile Hotspot Tmg5240 Wireless Wifi Router Questions & Answers
TM-G5240 router is slow
Is it the wireless device or your ISP? Location the same on wireless device? Computer same place? Channel the same? Antenna the same? Cables the same? You will never get what is advertised. That would under perfect conditions and the Max it will work. Figure the miles of cables and equipment between you and the ISP and all the places it could degrade a signal. Try a High location for the device, change channels.
How to know wifi password
The wifi password is set internal to the router by the router's administrator. If that was you, then you are saying you've forgotten the password. If that is NOT you, you are asking for the password. You must get that from the administrator of the router. If you have a used router, it may have been previously setup by another admin and you are trying to access it. If the previous administrator left the unit in its default state, it can be accessed at IP 192.168.0.1. The default user name is to be left blank, and the default password is admin (lower case). If that doesn't work, you ay have no choice but to reset the router to get it back to defaults so you can gain access to it. There will be a reset switch somewhere on the unit (usually accessible thru a small opening) that you must press and hold for a period of time. Be warned that this will erase all custom setting in the router and will require a new setup, but will allow you to regain access using the default user name and password.

Probably the configurations or the hardware or the antivirus.
YOu cant compare 4gb ram laptop with one with 512MB... that could be making the difference.
I have a D-Link tm-g5240

How can i block my
one word "permissions"
you have to tell the router and the firewall that you don't want "abc" user to use the router.
this is done by logging into the router and allow/disallowing the user by MAC address ( Media Access Control) .
depending on the router to access it is going to a browser window and entering either 192.168.0.1 or
192.168.1.1
instruction set to secure your router is in the "helps" file.for
1.select the "Advance tab
2. select filter "MAC'
3. Enter name
4. under MAC address enter MAC address
5.on the DHCP Client select DHCP client from the pull down list; click Clone to copy that MAC address
Hi.
I have a problem with
Thank you for using FixYa
It is probably just the light itself and if it is still in warranty you need to call D-link for a return authorisation. There is one other slight possibility, and that is, you are connecting to someone else's wireless connection nearby. In order to test that, turn off your router and see if you still are connected.
I hope this was useful and please comment if this was helpful to you.

You can find the details of the operator and the state they belong to .the operators wont reveal the address and name of any mobile numbers only higher officials can only get those information.
In order to trace the operator name and state you can try this link
