Infinity PS-10 Subwoofer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Standby stuck
Your amp needs to be repaired - several parts have gone bad - there is a guy on ebay who repairs this amp and upgrades it at the same time - cost is around 150.00 ;)
My sub is making a funny noise when it changes
I'd guess the sub's amplifier is exhibiting wake-up instability. Most amps are smart enough to mute their outputs until things stabilize.
A brick-and-mortar tech needs to look at this.
My Infinity ps-10 subwoofer makes crackling
Probably not, but you could make it into a passive subwoofer by disconencting its internal amp and powewring the driver directly by an external amp being fed by an LFE channel.
I did this with a problematic Klipsch SW.

Open it up and see what is in there! You might find a fuse blown. It might have just blown, without a fault, if you are lucky. If not check out the part numbers on the amp board. All semiconductors numbers, then put the numbers into google. You will soon find out if they are obtainable!
Starts clicking real bad after being on for
i'm having a similar problem. and think it is due to overheating. you can when the amp panel is removed there is no way for air to escape.
the amp panel is a large piece of plastic with a black sticker over it. from the inside you can see 2 oval shaped holes just above the amp unit. try cutting the sticker portion away. (careful to power down the unit first!)
Infinity PS-12 Subwoofer clicking in and out of standby
Hello,
Unfortunately your subwoofers amplifier circuitry will need to be repaired ,the amplifier is bad and kicking in to protect mode. This mode is designed for safety of the unit and user and sub should not be operated until repaired as it may incur more damage to the components. I hope this
helps.
Infinity ps-10 powers up but no boom
Try hooking up a different signal input to your powered sub, another
stereo or even a dvd players audio output to the sub will work for a
test. Just make sure the subs gain is down before starting. If it
still not producing sound, the subwoofers amplifier is bad. I hope this
helps.
Inifinity Entra Sub not working
The hum can be from the power supply not properly filtering, and or the output stage also has a short.
There is the chance that the speaker driver coil is now burned, or the power supply is now dead. If ther output stage is shorted and was putting DC on to the speaker cone, this will burn it very easily.
You should sent the unit out and have it serviced, unless you are properly trained, have the service and engineering manuals, and the test equipment to follow up on a proper repair and calibration.

Infinity PS-10 quit working
I think the electronics have a 3 years warranty and the drivers have a five years warranty for this product, maybe you can have it replaced. Maybe the auto on/off signal detector is the culprit.
My Infinity SSW-210 Servo Subwoofer quit working yesterday. The light is on and the fuse is okay but there is no sound coming out. Does the sub have another fuse inside?
Unlikely, but open it up and take a look. Some help here.

Infinity Servo Subwoofer How to? ' AVS Forum

Dec 26, 2009 - I picked up an Infinity Servo Subwoofer yesterday, but not quite sure as to how to ... The SSW-210 or SSW-212 have two drivers and no port.
Infinity tss 750 sub-woofer when powered on immediately pulls speaker in and has loud humming. no inputs hooked up, only plugged in to ac power source.
The loud humming is the sound of AC mains - clearly your amplifier is receiving an input from somewhere and possibly into the front end.
The hum could be induced by radiated energy from nearby unshielded equipment, it could be the result of an accidental hum-loop or could be because the amplifier power supply has a fault.
It is usual practice with amplifier construction to ensure unused inputs are shorted to ground by switching or by additional contacts and wiring at the input sockets. High gain high impedance inputs can cause a great deal of unwanted noise if they are not shorted.
I suggest you read the instruction manual and perhaps Google a few hints and tips about amplifiers and stuff.
