Your Blackberry might have a USB cable to connect to a charger, or USB adapter. for charging. If so, plug that USB cable into the computer, and it should be seen by the computer. Sounds like you need to go in to your settings to allow you to make calls and texts

If you are trying to get wifi, then you need to go into the settings and tell it to search. Then you need to enter the wifi password etc. If you have data through your carrier, then you need to call customer service to get this rectified.
