Your computer may not have a blu-ray disk drive. You need to install one in order to watch blu-ray movies on your computer. Hope this helps, good luck.

You need to install Blu-Ray Player software and that is most probabily a firmware which will help to recognize the DISC

Yes, that used to be possible - not anymore: the new ones have a different firmware that can no longer be hacked. The only way to make it region free is to install a decoding chip on top of the original one - the way in which the free ones offered for sale online are done. Hence it should playback the new discs.
