I would suggest buying yourself a nice one, wether it's a new or used sewing machine but please make sure to get a manual with the machine you buyif you check ebay make sure they have feedback of 90 to 100..thrift stores are ok but you never know why they gave the machine away, it could be a treasure to sew on or a pain in the pocker book.
