I have a vizio vw37l hdtv20a. A few years ago
Sounds like The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; [Exclude the model number], in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

Hi,
Have you tried the many custom picture attribute settings available for this TV? I'll bet all you need to do is cut the green color temp. Here's a recipe I grabbed off the Internet.
There are are few posts over in the VX37l thread for preferred settings (as well as loads of other info). For what it's worth here's what I leave mine at:
Backlight: variable but generally b/t 20 - 35.
Contrast: 79
Brightness: 49
Color: 54
Tint: + 5
Sharpness: +2
Color temp custom: Red 130/Green 107/Blue 129
Note that green is subdued in this scenario. If yours is up there on a par with red and blue, you might get some print-through. By the way there is no "black" as there is with printers ink. Black is simply the lack of everything else.
Try all your custom adjustments before worrying about replacing anything.
If Problem persists, this is a Hardware Fault. All the video processing, take place on the main board. Also all the adjustments values are store into eeprom on the same main board.
This main board is the board where all the AV inputs, including the tuner are. This would be most likely the part you will need to replace. Please note, the Tcon board which is part of the LCD panel, can impact the picture quality and tint also, but this would be rare on this case, compared with the main board failure.
Let me know, if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Color problems vizio lcd hdtv
If your tv has a custom settings area, first turn all color down on set so picture looks black and white. Now in color settings look for red blue and green color bars. Use the bars until the picture looks as true to black and white as possible. Also, try changing color temp.
Only lines on upper part of the my screen
With the limited information on your issue and no voltage checks from within the TV, the best I can do is suggest the following.
sounds like a Ysus board issue and/or Zbuffer issue.
If it's the Zbuffer, change the Ysus card along with it as it could be the reason why you are having buffer problems.
While a buffer problem alone will not affect the Ysus card, a Ysus card issue will continue to blow Zbuffers if that's all you change.
check to see if it's still under an extended warranty, if not, then find the service manual for your model online and see if this is something you want to DIY.

Have you find out if the problem is with your remote control? For instance, you are able to control your TV using a Universal remote control. My 32" Vizio TV had a similar problem, initially thought it was related to my remote control but in fact the TV didn't respond either to an universal remote control of my SAT receiver that I eventually use to just turn on and off the TV. I've found out that the problem was with a little board on the TV located at the left down corner viewed from the front side of the TV and that receives the signal from the remote control. I found the board on ebay for about $5, replace it and the TV responded again to both original and universal remotes.
