Try Interstate battery for a cheaper battery.

Are you sure the model of the drill is 691220? That would appear to be the model of the charger base. I know of no recall on the switches but I need the correct model # to be sure. I called customer service and they said that you have to use a Craftsman brand 19.2 volt replacement bulb and it will work.

their is a posability that the main shaft in the drill broke do you smell the motor

If it is a brush motor reverse the wires to the brushes, if not reverse the feed wire.
