Kenmore 14410 Humidifier - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My new 45.4 liter humidifier will only run on high speed and is far too noisy, any solutions besides returning?
Return it, somethings wrong with the controls.OR your house is humid enough, and you are trying to create rain in it, and the controls are working correctly and you are trying to make them do something they don't want to do! If you have a humity scale in your house, check it- you might be surprised at the level you're at already...If you don't have one, get one- they're cheap and plentiful at any hardare store- I have one in my greenhouse that's digital, reads current RH/temperature & highest/lowest RH/temperature in the last 24 hours- cost me $13 at Home Depot.
Humidifier what does CF stand for
It may mean "Change Filter." After you replace the filter, unplug the humidifier for 30 seconds, and then you plug it back in, the CF code should be gone.
Kenmore 15408 Humidifier How to Reset CF
Per the owner's manual, you simply unplug your device for 30 seconds. Upon plugging it back in, the CF notification should be cleared.
This assumes you have also changed the filter, of course.

Those filters don't last forever! Whenever I had that problem, I just replaced the filter. (The fresh filters also contain some kind of anti-bacterial or anti-fungal, since you're not supposed to add anything to the water which would spray into the air.) My problem has been finding new filters--does Sears still carry them? (The small one I was in recently does NOT.)
Humidifer Got no Power when On
did you check the socket? it could be something wrong with it....also move it around...like see if it works in other locations......or it could be that something in the Humidifer that either shorted out or got plugged up and wont start....
Filter dries out
2 things could be happening.
#1. Your water has gotten harder in the last year and more deposits are getting caught on the filter. Try soaking it in water and vinegar for an hour. This should clean some of the deposits out and extend the life of your filters. Everytime it gets hard try soaking it.
#2. Your machine is running out of water before you can refill. When this happens and the filters dry out, they aren't as good afterwords.
I would advise trying to clean them with vinegar and water and making sure your machine is always full.
Good Luck.
