The pump is usually located close to the tank. (look in a compartment, under bed etc) It is pressure activated (pressure switch) so if it has already built up its pressure it will turn off / not run. One way to check this is (unhook city hose) open a faucet. --- Could be the pump is shot, or the pressure switch is defective.

SOURCE: Trying to fill fresh water tank. Overflows in a minute

there is probably a stoppage in the relief opening. should be next to the potable water fill. are you trying to fill from the pressure inlet or potable fill inlet? if from the pressure inlet, there is a bypass valve by the fresh water tank to divert watr into it.

Location of water pump on 2019 flagstaff 527 bunkhouse fifth wheel

Generally, on fifth wheels, the fresh water tank is in the rear area of the rv, but the pump is usually up near the front near the rest of the plumbing. Ie water heater, bathroom, etc. There are storage areas in the front, usually, the pump is on the side where the door for entering the trailer is. Open the storage access door that is on that side in the front and look at the panels that close off tbe storage area to the living quarters of the rv. There is usually a hole for access to a “winterizing point” marked. There us where you will find the pump

2014 Coachmen Elite 40'. Water system was drained for the winter. We can not get fresh water into the holding tank. It was done at a dealer, but they are not open. It will take city water.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem:
1. Check the Water Pump:
- Make sure the water pump is turned on and functioning correctly. The water pump is responsible for drawing fresh water into the holding tank from an external source.
- Check for any visible signs of damage or blockages in the water pump system.
2. Verify the Tank Fill Valve Position:
- Ensure that the tank fill valve is in the correct position to allow water to flow into the holding tank. The valve may need to be switched from the city water connection to the tank fill position.
3. Inspect the Water Inlet:
- Check the water inlet connection where you fill the fresh water tank. Make sure there are no obstructions or kinks in the hose that could be preventing water from entering the tank.
- If there is a water filter in the system, check if it is clogged and needs to be replaced or cleaned.
4. Test the Gravity Fill System:
- If your RV has a gravity fill system for the fresh water tank, try filling the tank using this method. Pour water directly into the gravity fill port and monitor the tank level to see if the water is entering the tank.
5. Consult the RV Manual:
- Refer to the owner's manual of your Coachmen Elite RV for specific instructions on filling the fresh water tank and troubleshooting water system issues.
I good luck

Freshwater tank fills and overflows even though selector is pointed at 'city water' position.

Other than a leaking 4 way selector valve the probable cause would be a leaking check valve in the pump.

On the RV the city water and discharge from the fresh water pump are tied together. When on city water the discharge of the pump will have city water pressure on it. If the internal check valve on the pump is leaking, water will flow through the pump backwards and into your fresh water tank.

Typically this requires ether replacing the pump or installing a secondary check valve between the fresh water tank and the pump suction.

How do you get mold out of fresh tanks?

There should be a fresh water fill on the outside of the coach. If not then there is a valve that would need to be turned that will allow water to be put into the fresh water tank. If that is the case then it will be a bit more difficult to put bleach into the fresh water tank but not impossible. There will be a pump that draws fresh water out of the tank. You can disconnect the input and output lines. Connect the input line which comes from the fresh water tank to the output side of the pump. Then using a flexible line with a 1/2" pipe thread fitting, connect that to the input side of the pump. Put the loose end of the flexible line into a gallon of bleach and turn the pump on. It will draw the bleach out of the container and pump it into the fresh water holding tank. Now return the plumbing of the pump back to the original configuration. Using the valve system complete filling the fresh water tank with fresh water and allow to sit for a couple of days. Then open the low point drain on the fresh water tank and completely drain. When the coach is not in use make sure the tank is completely drained. There is also a fresh water treatment that you can purchase at your local rv parts department.

When hook up city water to rv it shoots out vent

It is likely one of two things, either your RV has a waterline to your fresh water tank that allows you to fill that tank when you are hooked to City water, or the check valve on your water pump is bad and it is allowing city water to fill your fresh water tank. Make sure your freshwater tank is empty, have someone turn the city water on while you watch the freshwater tank... you should be able to see where it is filling from....if it is filling from the water line that run to the water pump, the check valve is bad, if it is filling from a city water fill line, locate the valve on that line and close it. If it is indeed the water pump check valve...you can either replace the pump, or add a cheap inline check valve, like a sharkbite check valve.. they run like 12 to 15 dollars.. install in seconds....you just cut the pex pipe then shove the ends into each end of the check valve.
