My yamaha yzfr 125 starts up and everything works when in neutraul.. but when i hold in the clutch and click it into 1st gear the engine light flickers and then the bike cuts it self out.. why is this?

The kickstand may be down or the switch associated with the kick stand is bad. It's a safety feature to not allow the engine to run with the kickstand down.

2009 Yamaha YZFR 125 clutch springs torque spec

The bolts should bottom out and reach about 22NM,,, about 15 ft.lb. I always used a dab of blue Loctite.on clean bolts and cleaned the thread holes out with brake cleaner and comp. air.

When I turn on the ignition and press the starter switch the engine wont start or turn over, I can hear the starter rely clicking but thats it, all the lights etc work and everything lights up on the...

check the battery output prob needs a new battery but charge it 1st to see if that works. You can also put bike in gear and try jump starting it by pushing and holding clutch in then out to engage with engine it may also move the engine and the stsrter may work then.

disconnect side stand switch to check if that is faulty
