Mine used to do this if I took it to the "power car wash", would only go to 2700 rpm. Seems my Ignition Module and Fuel Injection Module were getting wet. . Sometimes pulling the modules and circuit breakers out and cleaning the contacts helps. . I also put WD-40 on the contacts. . haven't had the problem since. also the computer is under the ride hand side cover. . never hurts to make sure all your contacts are clean and well made

Probably insufficient fuel, check your filter. If it's carburated the float level may be too low or it may require rejetting, especially if you changed the exhaust.

My 1981 cx500 died while I was riding it and I read some forms and I tested my stator and everything is reading correct accept my low rpms I am curious if this would be the reason it won't start now and it...

Your stator test is only valid if the battery is dead and the bike cuts out, not viable for a starting problem. The backfire is a normal thing on these bikes (assuming you are talking about letting off the gas when doing 4k+ rpms). If the bike doesn't start, test the fuel and spark.

Chokes out at 8500 rpm

try running some SEAFOAM gas treatment through it. Might take a few tank but it should clean out the carbs

Bike runs fine when idling but when rapidly accelerating at about 6000 rpms the bike cuts off. When the rpms get lower the bike comes back on.

Check air box Do not alter box make sure nobody has cut holes in it If so cover them up with tin foil tape Check fuel filter MOPAR KENNY

My bike throttle is cutting out when at high rpms

Your bike has a rev limiter on it when it reaches a certain level it starts cutting out to save the motor from blowing up
