There is no set adjustment on any blower or chain saw. If it were that simple there would be no need for adjustments. The problem is that most equipment manufactured in the past 10 years can not be adjusted by the user. Carburetors are now equipped with either adjustment limiters which limit the adjustment to less than half a turn or with adjustment screws that require a special tool to make the
adjustment. More than likely you will have to take it to an authorized dealer for those adjustments.

If you do have an adjustable carburetor, then gently close both needles and open each on 1 full turn. This should allow the engine to start and the final adjustments can be made at that point. If it still will not start then open each needle 1/8 to 1/4 turn and try again. If this still does not work then most likely your carburetor needs a good cleaning and a rebuild kit.

IS THERE A STANDARD STARTING POINT FOR AIR FUEL SCREW ADJUSTMENT IF SCREWS ARE STARTED IN CLOSED POSITION? LIKE 3.5 TURNS OUT.

A good place to start is 1 1/4 turns out. If you have to go more than 2 1/2 turns out, there is another problem. If you have 10% ethanol gas in your area, expect to be replacing the diaphragm in the carb and fuel lines every 3 years or so.

Craftsman leaf blower wont start

The air gap for the ignition coil core to flywheel is adjustable on some engines and the gap does vary.
On a Stihl, I used a matchbook cover first, then doubled it and got the engine to start. That amounts to 8-10/1000ths (0.008-0.010") as measured with a digital caliper after-the-fact.
I'm troubleshooting another engine currently from a McCulloch Airstream IV that only has ~12 hours and no spark but the coil measures roughly as it should; around 1K Ohms. Was surprised to find the company went bankrupt in '99. Another one killed by Asians and fairly poor design.

The short one goes to the primer bulb and the long one, with the filter, goes to the carb.
