Cranks good but no spark. happened overnight
Mine died and it was two problems. The fuse blocks on Yamaha's tend to crack and you actually cant tell. I replace each fuse with a new inline flat fuse. Than I also found the rectifier was bad. I got a used one from a salvage yard, It was a little different so I placed it in the area where the tool kit usually goes and bolted it in. That was 4 years ago and it still purrs like a lion.
Has the fuse block been upgraded? I'd check there first. If so I'd check stop/run switch. Then check the pickup coils at the TCI, Check the Coils at the TCI, Check coils, check plug caps. Also check connections at the coils.
Hope this helps!
