The wires have fallen out of the CDi and I cant remember which colour goes where. Any idea its on a BT49QT9 moped and the wires clip straight onto the pins

It's my son's ped and he took the plastic fixing block of the wires that clip into the CDI. If we know which order they go in we can fix them so if anyone has a bt49qt9 Chinese moped and could have a look we might be able to sort it out.

Hey Anne,
If the wires "fell out" of the box itself there may be no way to reinstall them. (wires "falling out" of a sealed box is unusual!!) ..Is the CDI a sealed box?,, If there is no way into the CDI box then you will probably have to purchase a new one. If you determine that its sealed and you will have to purchase an replacement,,.. then, by all means go ahead, contact an electrician, and try to fix it.. you will have nothing to lose...

Spark, Fuel, Air. With the spark plug hooked to the wire and the spark plug removed, hold the diode to a ground while you crank it and see if there is a spark.

Cdi

Do not use a universal CDI unless you have the exact wiring cross-over diagram, or have tech help from the manufacturer. You can short out the CDI and other ignition components like the stator.

My piaggio nrg mc3 just keeps turning over and will not start

No fuel, or you lost spark. Check wire connections, especially the plug, cdi, and coil wire. Often the kill switch is off, or the kick stand safety switch is on.
