I have purchased a R15 YAMAHA from dealer Bangalore Wheels in Bengaluru on 11th April, 2010. The looks, speed and performance are almost as said in by the company. The battery used by Yamaha company is a poor substandard and unheard name MINDA battery. It will invariably fails within 6 months from date of purchase. The Company/Dealer will say it is not battery fault but our fault as not properly maintained and not using vehicle for more than 50 KM per day. This was not told when we purchased the bike that everyday we should use 50 KM. The service and pickup of the vehicle to be improved to the promised standards. This type of service and wrong original parts selection was not expected from the YAMAHA company. After buying we do not have any choice except to accept the vehicle as it has come. YAMAHA listen and keep your name and reputation.

if you are using coolant oil (do not mix with standard water base coolant!!!), you need to use same brand and specification (type), best way is to check in your manual what type of coolant will be accepted, and then top it as required.
if you wish to change to another brand or to water based (or from water based to oil) then follow this procedure:
1. run engine for 10 min
2. very carefully open the fill tank and cap, drain whatever is in the system (watch for hot steam/water backflush!)
3. fill about 15% to 20% with new fluid and run for few seconds (flush),
4. drain again and fill with new oil, coolant or whatever you will be changing to.
buy extra liter so you will have for top up.
hope this will help you solve your problem - do not forget to vote!

consider this
the head is oil cooled from the lubrication of the rocker gear and shaft/s
check that you have lubrication to that gear
the head is cooled by incoming air/fuel mixture so check the tune up as it may be too lean
if it is water cooled then check for an air lock in the head in the coolant
