My suzuki gsf 600 bandit 1999 wont start. when i turn the ignition the lights come on but the starter motor makes no noise when i press the ignition, kill switch is set to "engine on" position (not kill) and i have tried switching the clutch wires, i did leave the ignition on for 5-10 mins and i was replacing my handle bars to took every thing off (unplugged my clutch wires and break wires but nothing else) Help?

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, try with the sidestand folded up and / or the clutch lever pulled in.  Likewise determine if there is a clicking sound when the start button is pressed:

• if there is a clicking sound, locate the starter relay. Follow the big cable from the battery's + terminal; it would end in nother terminal of the starter relay:
  

1. turn ignition ON and kill switch to RUN;
   
2. short the 2 big terminals of the starter relay. Expect a big start. If the starter spins, startr relay is faulty.
   

• if there is no click, then the safety interlocks are preventing the relay from engaging. Check the neutral switch/wire and sidestand switch/wire.
  

I have a 1997 Suzuki Bandit (600), I tried jump starting it and cross the positive and Negative to the battery. I understand i blew a fuse and replaced it. It still did not start. I then replaced the coils and igniter. it still did not start. i was getting charge to the coils but not to the spark plugs. I use the same battery that was cross fire. would this make my suzuki not start?

I had a similar issue with my '97 1200. Every couple of weeks would go to start it (sometimes after being ridden) and no click as you described.

It was blowing the fuse that powers starter motor and it turned out that a dodgy starter button was blowing the fuse. These are generally soldered in, so I replaced the RH switch gear for 25 second hand...

Job done!!!
