I would say Yes.Your shock has lost oil and compression and now you are bottoming out everytime you go over bumpy terrain. The shock will need a rebuild or maybe a new shock altogether.
Yes, they are a sealed unit, and once they start leaking, then you have to replace them, i would recomend replacing them with an aftermarket set, such as Koni, or KYB, there are many to choose from, cheaper than a standard set too. The same applies if your bike has a single rear shock absorber, replacements are available.
i think it is shock absorber.after 15000 km it is recommended to change the oil of shocker. 1>you may topup your shocker oil then see if their is change or not. if not 2>then your shocker must be tilted or damaged which can be repaired with a pressure machine or they must be changed....
i conacted a friend of min that works on honda bikes he stated the fork is identical to the 250cc class rebel in diamenter and will hold aproximatley 4 to 4.5ounces fork oil. hope this helps and good luck!
You can change it. Im looking for the correct amount to do it myself. I already pulled mine apart and bought a rebuild kit for it. Comes with a new nitrogen bladder, o rings for the seal, and a few other necessary items. Just remember to measure where the jam nuts holding your spring is so you can put it back in the correct location. As for the nitrogen i heard 150 psi. I'm fortunate to work at an offroad racing shop so i'm just gonna fill mine with nitrogen there, but i dont think you should get charged too much at a regular bike shop. Rockymountainatv.com has the rebuild kit. You will need the seals atleast. If i find anything else out i'll let you know. Hope this helps.
