No, either faulty solenoid or bad wiring through switch, or sensor not working as it should( on side stand or clutch)

SOURCE: Alright so about 4 days

This problem is the alternator is not charging. You will need to trouble shoot the stator, rectifier/regulator. You will need a volt/ohm meter. It is best to get you a good manual. But as always check your fuses. The stator will produce AC voltage in about the 27 - 32 volts AC range at idle. Unplug the stator and check for voltage there at this plug when idling. Next plug the rectifier back in and check for voltage at the battery at idle, should be in the 14 volts DC range. If you are getting the proper AC voltage at the two wires on the stator and only battery voltage at the battery, then your rec/reg is not doing its thing. Hope this helps FixYa up.

How do I bypass cdi box on 1100 honda shadow to start bike

the cdi box( capacitor discharge ignition) is what gives you the current that energizes the coil for the plugs
by pass it and there is little chance of it starting
best replace it with a new item and then chek the rest of the system for faults ,like coil, power to the box, problem in the distributor , cap,and any other item in the ignition circuit.

Problems with rpm above 5500

sticky gel coming from CDI box indicates CDI failure. Sticky gel is the insulating material in the module that is melting and leaking out.

Can't Start 1981 Yamaha SR250

find a running sr 250 and swop his cdi unit with yours if the bike runs, fine. if not put his cdi back in and try again. if the good bike now starts it will indicate that your cdi is faulty. the cdi is located under the tank inside the frame. don't buy a second hand cdi unless you can test it on a working bike. they are very expensive and you don't want to buy a dud

2004 yz25f overheating almost instantly after starting

Overheating is means to be over of heat, isnt it?now, how can you say that with in two mins, that early duration of time the ingine will overheat? The probable cause is not on the carburator but in the CDI ( if it is CDI operated).but if it is contact point it is surely the condenser.
The CDI is a compact system of and electronic device or a form of integrated circuit that is have the risk of malfunctioning when it can sense a high temperature produced by electricity...same with the condenser.,thats why when the motorcycle is working there is a sudden stop when the said electronice devices have malfunctioned.
so,if thats the problem, replace the CDI or the CONDENSER.

Hi,I have a 95 model TT600, went to start it, it started but had no electrical power to head, tail lights & blinkers. The bike stopped on it's own & now there is no spark. The bike is only the...

the function of your bikes's battery is signal light's and horn only i guess you already aware of it, other than that your electricity comes from your coil, the coil supply all from CDI to headlight taillight and park light, the CDI supply electricity from Spark, i suggest you check your CDI first and then Primary coil one of them is in bad condition, hope this help

I,m getting fire and gas its in time hits but wont start

I had a simular problem with my 88 xr. It started out just running bad at higher speeds which had me thinking it was a carb or plug problem. I started changing plugs and had varing results which still had me guessing. So I started adjusting and jetting the carb. Still the same varing results. I suspected the CDI box so I tried to get one. (I live in Thailand, not the easiest thing.) The parts places produced several boxes that plugger in but gave me the results you just described. Good spark but no start, I also got one box that started the bike real good but would not accelerate. There is a built in timing in those CDI boxes. Just thought you might check this, By the way the original box of mine eventually failed completely and I was correct in my suspicions. I found a used one and it runs great.
