Make sure your air filter is clean, check the fuel filter and tank for contaminants.
More off the wall , the rev limiter may be faulty, is it a certain speed or a given rev range that causes the shutdown?
Look at the air filter first!!
Good Luck, Marshall
07 gsxr 750 backseat won't unlock
When this happened with my bike, I took a large gem clip, straightened it out, and then put a 90 degree bend about 1/4" from one end. I could insert the end with the bend under the seat and use it to grab the release mechanism and pull it so the rear seat released. Then I was able to connect the cable from the latch/lock correctly to avoid the same prob when the seat was reattached.
My suzuki gsxr 750 sat all winter and i didnt

Try charging your battery fully .idle running will take too long to charge the battery .Leaving your bike ticking over will not harm it oproviding it is not getting too hot through no air passing over the finning on the engine .
Just looking for an easy step by step explanation
Make sure bike is upright, fully supported and weight of the front wheel, you will need say 50CM min clearance below to remove forks. Remove calipers from discs (two bolts attaching to each fork), remove front wheel (two bolts on bottom of each fork then wheel spindle), remove fender/mudguard (possibly four bolts), Undo the bolts that hold the forks into the lower yoke/triple clamp, undo the upper yoke/triple clamp bolt to remove fork (one side at a time) refitting is reverse of removal, enjoy.
My speedomter will not work.
You need a manual, there is a wiring diag available at:
http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp ,
What you have is a lose connection some where, it is most probably an earth. Just fossick around and check all the ones around the items including the prug ins.
What should the compression be on the cylinders
not sure of the Values on this engine, but anything over 100psi is good , a high variation between cylinders indicate a problem with that cylinder but thats not always something bad . a leak down test will locate the problem further if needed..
I have a 2007 gsxr 750 and i have a problem with
Hi there ... is Reg/Rec the regulator and the rectifier? Based on your remarks, I will presume you have tested both the regulator and the rectifier and know how they both work.
Do this, my friend. Disconnect the hot side of the battery and put a amp meter in line with it. That will show any draw you may have. If there is a draw, remove all fuses and observe the load. It should go to zero. Be mindful, some systems are portected by circuit breaker - unplug them. One by one, replace the fuses as you observe the load. If/when it changes, you have found your drain.
There is that possibility that your battery is nearing the end of its useful life and not able to hold a charge.
Even though you have checked the rectifier, check it again, both sides and both ways.
Let me know how you make out, my friend.

Sounds/feels "choppy" between 6K-7K RPM
Clean carburators, most likely has gummed up jets, don't blow out the jets without removing them first and even then sometime to remove all the **** you will still have to use something like a torch tip cleaner to do a good job.
F1 light on came on . what does this mean ?
FI means Fuel Injection. The computer chip that controls the fuel injection system on your bike has detected a problem. It could be major or minor. You will need to take the bike to a dealer and have them read the codes to find out exactly what the problem(s) is.
Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer?
F1 light
it's not an F1 light it's an FI light for fuel injection. is it a full exhaust installed on the bike or just a slip on? may need a power commander to balance it all out.
My bike wont switch on
Check the main fuse in the starter relay that is under the seat. the battery positive cable runs to it.
High tickover
sounds like you need to have your carbs balanced, also check the vacume pipe for perishing.
