Routing cables for throttle after replacing handlebars

you should take the cables into a motorcycle shop to be shortened to the correct length. extra long cables can melt on the exhaust and then stick and can be dangerous. also rerouting cables can cause extra stress if they are not strait enough to operate correctly...

How do i reroute my handlebar throttle cables their to long after installing knew handlebars

You may be able to tuck the extra cable under the tank or just reroute them in a completely different area. the best option would be to just shorten your cables or order shorter cables. you should be able to buy new ends on ebay or any aftermarket site, rockymountainatv, marshall distributing, automatic, western power sports, etc,(that solder on with silver solder and flux) pull the silver end off, trim the inner cable, then the outer cable and put back together. there should be a motorcycle shop around you that could do it easily. a shop close to here would do it for $10 or less a cable.

Sounds like you have linked these up to ignition switch out feed to the kill switch/running curcuit rather than the lighting curcuit out from the ignition. most bike run 2 somtimes 3 curcuits out from the ignition switch one running curcuit and one lighting.

Synthetic oil is bad for motorcycles. It makes the clutch slip. After changing back to regular oil I would start it, drop it in gear, release the clutch and just wait and see if its able to "wear" off the bad part of the clutch disks. This might take a short bit and be ready for it to suddenly grab and go. If not you might have to have the clutch disks replaced.

Check all the connections make sure they aren't loose. Check the ignitor module and make sure it is plugged in correctly. Your rectifier might be dead or dying.
Might even be your side stand lockout switch. If that is dead you won't be going anywhere.

try cleaning your starter button. The starter button is a two position switch. First it turns off the headlight , then, it activates the starter solenoid. take apart the switch and try cleaning the contacts with alcohol. If the the button is broken you will have to replace the right switch assembly to fix a button issue. If the button checks out then open the headlight bucket and check the wire connections. A loose wire plug in or an internally broken wire could also be the culprit. Check the button first then go after the wiring.

I have a 2002 Kawasaki Mean Streak 1500 I'm customizing it can the rectifier be moved so it's not just hanging there.

Absolutely, the rectifier on your Kawasaki Mean Streak 1500 can be repositioned during a customization project. The rectifier is a crucial part of the motorcycle's electrical system, converting alternating current (AC) from the stator into direct current (DC) to charge the battery and power the bike's electrical components. While relocating the rectifier, it's important to consider a few key factors:
  1. Space and Mounting: Assess the available space on the motorcycle to find a suitable location for the rectifier. Ensure that the new position allows for proper mounting and secure attachment without interfering with other components or the bike's functionality.
  2. Heat Dissipation: The rectifier generates heat during operation, so it's essential to relocate it to an area with adequate airflow for cooling. Mounting it in a well-ventilated area helps prevent overheating issues.
  3. Wiring and Connections: When moving the rectifier, ensure that the wiring can be appropriately rerouted to reach its new location. Take care to maintain proper electrical connections and ensure a secure, stable wiring setup.
  4. Protection: Consider adding protective measures, such as shields or guards, to safeguard the relocated rectifier from road debris, water, or other potential hazards.
Modifying the placement of the rectifier may require custom brackets, mounts, or fabrication work to secure it in the desired location. It's crucial to execute the relocation carefully, maintaining proper electrical connections and ensuring the rectifier's safety and functionality. If you're not confident in performing these modifications yourself, consulting a professional motorcycle mechanic or technician with experience in customizations can be highly beneficial. They can offer guidance, expertise, and ensure that the modifications are carried out safely and effectively.

Looking replacement batteries for kawasaki 21.6 volt batteries part # 691221

eBay is the only place and there is only one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/266382749570 Or direct from China https://power-tool-batteries.en.made-in-china.com/product/tqRnSCOglNhK/China-Kawasaki-Power-Tool-Batteries-21-6V-Replacement.html Or you can open it up and solder in the individual NiCad cells. Better to replace with NiMH.
