You have fuel injection. No choke on fuel injected cars. i'm sorry, but your solution is not going to be as easy as you had hoped.

SOURCE: my water pump went on my 98 plymouth voyager how much will it cos

You don't mention what engine you have ( there are 4 cyl, or 2 v-6 choices 3.0L or 3.3L available for that year). The water pump costs anywhere from $50 to $80, depending where you buy it, labor is supposed to take about one hour (access to the water pump is through the wheel well, after removing the plastic liner). There are other things that can raise the cost: how old is your coolant? This is a good time to have it changed if it needs it, what is the condition of the serpentine belt? It has to be removed to replace the pump, so again, if it needs to be changed, this is the time to do it. Dealers are charging about $100 an hour in my area, private garages less, and there will be additional charges for 'environmental' concerns, which is basically properly disposing of parts and fluids. So, the best thing to do is check with your local dealer and service stations and get an estimate on the work, and if anything else is needed (coolant, belt, etc) for a price in your area. With the economy not doing well, there should be plenty of repair facilities eager to give you an estimate. Good luck.

I know all about replaceing the fuel pump i just want to know if you can syphon the gas out first on a Plymouth Grand Voyager 1999? or is there some other way to get it done? last time we had no gas

You most likely have to remove the filler
hose, to drop the tank,so syphon the gas
directly from the tank with the hose off,
where ever your going to remove it from

3.3 96 gran voyager not getting fuel or spark

try changing the crankshaft position sensor but first for the fuel turn the key and listen for the fuel pump to kick on if it does and it still wont start find the gas line to the fuel regulator and pull it off and have someone crank it if it has a good pump it will have good pressure and as for the spark if its not getting spark im guessing it has one coil pack together its computerized so it could of gone out but anyway check the fuel stuff first and then change the crankshaft position sensor im almost competly sure that will fix your problem

How do you remove a fuel pump on a 97 plymouth grand voyager

    • 1 Make sure the engine is completely cool. Relieve the pressure in the fuel system. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Elevate the vehicle and support the fuel tank with a jack.
    • 2 Disconnect the fuel line from the front of the tank. Remove the ground strap, the inboard side fuel tank straps and the front T-strap fastener, then lower the tank approximately six inches.
    • 3 Take the fuel lines from the fuel pump module. Plug the fuel lines with golf tees to prevent the spillage of gasoline. Remove the fuel filter.
    • 4 Install the new fuel filter. Set the bolts in place and torque them to 40 inch/pounds. Tighten the main tank straps to 40 foot/pounds and the T-strap to 250 inch lbs.
    • 5 Reconnect the fuel lines in the reverse order of their removal. Lower the vehicle. Connect the negative battery cable.
    • 6 Start the engine and let it run for several minutes. Inspect the fuel lines for any leaks.

Ran out of gas now won't start 1993 plymouth voyager

when u run out of gas this overheats the in tank electric fuel pump, if the pump is already worn by high miles and running below 1/4 tank of fuel then it fails, you will need to replace the in tank electric fuel pump.
