My 2001 lincoln ls v8 has a delay wheel turn likewhen you turn your wheel sharp the steereing wheel gets loose feeling and the wheel dont turn as good as it suppose to be any ideas what it might be?

Front steering / suspension is only as good as its weakest link. There are many components working together that can be problematic here is a list of liikely culprits & things to check, tried to put easy stuff first:

  • tire pressures
  • steering fluid
  • worn/loose steering rack
  • tie rod ends
  • column u-joints
  • suspension - struts, joints, bushes components & integrity

Steering on my 2004 Lincoln LS 6 is tight, it stays in place and is not quick to return after I make a turn. Put new power steering pump and rack and pinon. Still same problem.

Have to have alignment done after any
front end work

Most repair shops don't have that capability
That is why you don't go to them

Still same problem?

Then the whole rack & pump was a questionable
diagnosis & repair

Any thing else you can add
