Hi Danny, You can do what ever you set your mind to doing! If humidity is high where you are remember to keep the drier sealed for as long as possible and when fitting it, get the pipes connected asap. Keep in mind that the system will also need the specified oil to be installed during the gassing procedure. You're the only one who can tell yourself you can't, and if the day comes when you do, don't listen! Regards John
Don, do you have any photos, my dad is tryin to fix my 1996 960 volvo and can't find a diagram or schematic anywhere we found a kit, but my parking break is missing parts so he has no idea where the pieces go!!
remove the ash tray and holder from rear of praking brake cover.use a screw driver and hammer to tap sleeve to free from adjusting screw, now adjust the cable. hope this helps.
I was missing a bolt on the motor mount bracket. Had to take the starter off again, my bad. I could not find a schematics for that area for my vehicle. I tried visiting sites that sell auto parts, some came close but none that showed what I needed. I just back tracked and I found the missing hole.
The fuel pump of 960 is inside the tank attached together with the floater. There is a screen filter attached to the floater which need to be cleaned/changed from time to time. The outside filter is situated under the carriage. To know when the pump about to give problem, there will be a grinding/hissing sound.
is in the middle by the drivers side.
you wont be able to replace it from top. you will have to remove it from underneath the car.
it will be aroud 12 - 15 inches from bottom to top of vehicle, by the drivers side
Disconnect the battery and wires going to the
starter. If air charge tube is in the way you can remove it. I am not
looking at a S-70 turbo right now but sure that I have never had to
remove intake to R&R a starter. There might be a bracket on the
passenger side of starter with a 12mm bolt into the front of the engine
and two 10mm nuts onto the starter. Remove two 13mm stud bolts that
hold starter in place and slide out. New starter goes in reverse order.
