Hi there?
The data link wire is connected straight from the plug to the ECU ( elecronic control unit) there is no fuse for the that link. however there should be live coming to one of the wires in the plug. make sure there is 12v coming to the plug. if the data linh itself dont work then it's a fault within the ecu. Have you tryed comunicating via OBD????????????????

I have a 2002 chevy 2500 4x4 pickup. the cigarette lighter and accessory plug in are all not working. I pretty sure its the fuse, but I'm having problems locating the fuse. and

Click on the link.
I looked at Silverado 2500 info. Cigar fuse is in under hood fuse block. That fuse also supplies voltage to pin 16 at data link connector. Use a test lite, check for voltage.

2001 buick century stalled without warning. tried to restart, but wouldnt crank, no fuel pump noise, no click. had power to radio, heater fan, flashers but not dashboard lights (prndl, fuel gauge).

Make sure battery has a full charge and battery connections all good. Check fusible links where applicable. Any component that doesn't work and is fuse protected, not only check the fuse, check the fuse circuit for voltage, use a test lite.
The wiring diagram is for starter circuit, you can see the fuses. Any testing for starter motor, make sure tranny is in park or neutral and parking brake is set. It is possible to jump crank relay to see if starter motor will crank, but, that doesn't mean it will start. Make sure vehicle can't move.

Deville 2000 DLC does not work

Typically the data link connector gets its power from the cigar fuse. On your vehicle there is a fuse in the underhood fuse block labeled ALDL (assembly line data link).

Cigarette lighter wont work for my charger. Where is the fuse or diagrams?

From 2000 Buick Regal - Owners Manual, check the position CIGAR LTR,
DATA LINK for Cigarette Lighter, Auxiliary / Power Connection (Power Drop), Data Link on the Instrument Panel Fuse Block.

Check page 304 and next for other details.

Hope helps and remember rated this.

Where is the button under the dash to reprogram the key fobs

I bought a replacement keyless fob and these instructions came with it - and they worked. They refer to some illustrations but with Haynes manual and maybe some web searching you should be able to figure it out.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF .

2. Use a 3 amp fused jumper wire (two clip leads attached to either side of a 3 amp fuse, or a paperclip works too) and connect terminals at the data link connector as illustrated below (black wire to black/white wire). The data link connector is located on the bottom of dash panel. Connect fused jumper wire between Data Link Connector (DLC) terminals no. 8 (black/white wire) and no. 4 (black wire)

3. Close all the doors.

4. Turn ON the ignition switch.

5. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm it is in programming mode.

6. Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK on one of the transmitters for 30 seconds.

7. After a 10-15 second delay the doors will LOCK and UNLOCK. DO NOT TURN OFF THE IGNITION!

8. Repeat step 5 for each additional transmitter. (Even transmitters that worked previously must be reprogrammed).

9. Disconnect jumper wire from data link connector.

10.Turn the ignition off and test all transmitters to verify function.

I have a 04 dodge stratus and the dome lite and radio and data link connector and power locks and trunk dont all work.the fuse is good i put new one in and still wont work.now what do i do?

I have the same problem with my 04 stratus cant get car inspected cause data link so the cant inspect emmisons, anyway i was told it may be the bcm (body control module) if it is buy a used one from junk yard they are a little expensive. or it could be relay since fuses usually dont do so many things (dome llight, power locks, radio, data link)
