Hello good fixya answer seeker

That code basically means the cars coolant temp is under what the thermostat is supposed to keep it at. There are a few things that can cause this issue i shall list them below for you.

1. low coolant level
2. bad thermostat
3. bad coolant temp sensor (sits in the side of the block most of the time)

All of the above are easy to change and cheap first off check the coolant level when car is cold only if that's good change thermostat and gasket cheap and easy if that don't correct the issue change the coolant temp sensor this tells fan when to run and reports temps to Gage.

Please leave 4 thumbs helps me help all of you thanks

Diagnostic code P1028

Hello, If you go to Engine-Codes.com you will find that this code is for a low Starter Relay circuit. At best, I can say to go to get a free "Starter Draw" test at Autozone or another big chain store.
You may have a bad starter relay or a bad ground to the starter or perhaps corroded wiring. It is also listed under the Dodge brand list of Codes. Perhaps searching for Dodge defects will give you a specific repair.
The onboard computers have a general list of defects which are monitored. This warning is something for Suzuki's and Dodge models only. Even the Suzuki Blog had suggested P0128 instead as it was not in the 2002 Model that info was requested for. In that case, it was a transposed number for a bad coolant sensor.
But your defect Code p1028 does exist and I found it at that site with a Browser search.

I hope my solution is helpful. Maybe you can find a Suzuki or Dodge expert for help.

P1028

Are you sure its not a code P0128? This would be a code for low coolant tempurature and usually caused by a faulty thermostat.

I don't see a P1028 listed?

2003 trailblazer v6 with codes P1133, p1028 & P0171 are these all related? And how serious is this? Whats the worst possible scenario? I'm buring alot of gas with a slight smell of gas?

I've had all these at the same time also. P1133 is your upstream 02 sensor, very easy, maybe 15 min to replace. p1028, is your thermostat reading a low temperature, replace this, or have someone replace it for you. P0171 is the downstream 02, difficult one to do if you're not mechanically inclined. Nothing horrible here, OK to drive, but if you want better gas milleage, get this fixed. The gas smell might be a different problem all togeher, there is a recall from a leaking gas tank.

The a/c is not working and the light is flashing, not accepting frion because compressor shuts off t 2003 camry 69000 miles

i had a similar problem with my camry. It was a relay in the fuse box under the hood. I would try this first before you try any expensive fixes. you might even try to swap the ac relay for one of the other relays of the same size and see if the ac works. then you know you need a new relay and didn't waste any money.

I have a toyota camry 2003 if i let it set for a

What color is the smoke ?
Greyish means coolant is leaking into cylinders( Bad Head gasket)
Bluish means oil is leaking into the cylinders
Black means car is running rich.
If greyish look at coolant resivoir for traces of oil ( usually milky kind of substance) could be tranny fluid or motor oil mixing with coolant depending on whether the vehicle is an automatic and if so is the ATF cooler leaking.
keep me posted Good Luck
