I have a 1994 318i which I bought 2nd hand a while back. The only problem I've had with it, is recently when the battery gave up the ghost - this in turn, left the radio (original 'BMW Bavaria' radio/cd player) in the 'safe' mode.
I didn't receive any booklets re the radio with the car and was just wondering if anyone could help me to 'unlock' it again i.e. get it out of 'safe mode' and fully operational again!

Yep just ring or pop into any bmw dealer with the full chassis/vin number & if the car is in your name they should be able to give to you.
