2002 oldsmobile silhouette, rear vent will not turn over to air conditioning. Even though front is on air conditioning, rear still blow hot air. You can not hear the flap turn over when you change from heat to air conditioning. Is there a flap somewhere in the vent ? If so where is it located ?

as long as the engine temperature is normal, i would suspect a clogged heater core, the dex-cool antifreeze is notorious for building up deposits in cooling system. have heater core flushed first to see if it makes any difference

I WISH I WAS THERE TO HELP.I DONT RECALL WHERE ANY OF THE VENT VALVES WERE LOCATED BUT IF YOU CANT SEE ANY OR THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS LOOK IN TACT DONT TURN IT INTO A WORSE PROBLEM.BRING IT IN IT DOESNT NECCISSARLY HAVE TO BE THE DEALER IF YOU HAVE A RELIABLE MECHANIC OF YOUR OWN.IVE REPAIRED MANY CARS THAT WERE ATTEMPTED TO BE REPAIRED BEFORE BEING BROUGHT IN AND THE BILL WAS A LOT HIGHER.GOOD LUCK

The first thing i would check is all 4 abs sensors at the wheels.You can do this with a volt meter set on ac voltage and spin the wheel if it generates voltage at all on the meter its good.
