I have a problem with my 1988 Buick Century, 2.5L 4 cyl engine. I think it has to do with maybe the MAP sensor. Problem: when it's really cold outside, I can not get the engine to start unless I floor the gas pedal. Then I have to keep my foot on the gas pedal to keep the engine from staling until it finally warms up. You can smell the gas as if the Carborator is flooding. The engine only has 84,000 miles on it. Once the engine is warmed up, the engine runs just fine. What do you think could be causing my engine to warm up normally on warm days and difficult to warm up on cold, wet rainy days? Thank you

Do you have a "service engine soon" light? If you use to much of the starting fluid you can seriously damage the engine and/or sensors.

1991 isuzu trooper 4 cyl. runs terrible when cold.does it have a cold sensor & where is it on the engine?

If you have a 2.6 4ZE1 engine the coolant temp. sensor is located under the intake manifold at the runner for #1 cylinder. It maybe hard to access. Try going throught the right side wheel opening over the tire it is a tight fit.

1988 Buick Century, occasionally when turning over the engine, all electrical power is lost. removing the key and trying again starts without a problem. Now I have noticed that the clock on the radio is...

Chk. all electrical connections and grounds on battery and starter and all grounds from engine to body, maybe loose or broken, it also could be the starter switch itself getting weak or ready to go out all together.

1988 buick century headlights

To change the low beam headlight on the 2001 Lesabre, the headlight assembly must first be removed from the car. It is really quite simple to do. There are two bolts on the top of the assembly that must be removed - that is all! The entire assembly comes out and gives easy access to the low beam bulb. Give it a 1/4 counterclockwise turn to remove it. Plus in the new one (#9006) and reverse the procedure.

Tempature sensor location 1991 Buick century 33

If you have the 4 cyl, look in upper engine area, end of valve cover, mounted in front side of water outlet.
If it's the 6 cyl, Passenger side upper engine area, below alternator, mounted in intake manifold.
