I have Honda 2005 CRV. Low miles. Never in a crash. My SRS light stays. I have it cleared by a professional but it returns. The SRS airbag icon light stays on while I'm driving, except/except when the passenger seat belt is in the buckle (even if person not sitting in it). The codes I get are 92-20.
Get ur crv to a dealer and get it scanned. he would help u after that. also check out the features and pics of the all new 2012 crv. i bet u would feel like getting rid of ur current crv and purchase a brand new one.
With a SCANNER.
your mechanic or Honda Dealer will provide this service....
Disconnecting the battery won`t do you any good.
You will have to fix the air-bag problem first before you can erase the airbag light...
I appreciate your quick answer, but I was wondering if there is a way to diagnose the problem without going to the dealer and spending 100-200$ for a 15min fix. It seems as though there are quite a few videos that show ways of resetting the airbag light of other honda vehicles (if the airbag does not need replacing), and I was hoping that someone could let me know how to do it on the specific 2005 CRV model.

SOURCE: 2005 honda crv airbag module location
Most of the time it's in the middle of the car under the center consol(consol with stereo) , SRS module usually mounted on the floor.

Ok,
1. ensure ignition off
2 . bridge the 2 pin connector, Put a piece of wire across both terminals
3.switch ignition on
4. SRS lamp should illuminate for 6 seconds
5.disconnect the bridge wire within 4 seconds of the warning lamp extinguishing
6.SRS lamp should illuminate 2 times, Codes erased
7.switch ignition off
8 Wait 10 seconds. switch ignition on and check SRS warning lamp operation.
hope this helps
