You have to have, all vehicle problems involving any
OBD2 light on the dash, checked out in a couple of
days. Don't keep driving it,you have a possible
system malfunction
Need the code to give you ideas
Just get it checked out
If it is a transmission problem, I wouldn't even drive it.
I have owned a trans repair business and I own a 2004
LS V8.

Oil light keeps coming on when there is oil, how to fix sensor light

The light is likely fine. There is a sensor on the engine that senses the oil pressure. Either the sensor has gone bad, or you have low oil pressure.
Replacing the sensor isn't difficult, but if you have low oil pressure, that can cause the whole engine to go bad, and cost you a whole lot.

Take it to a mechanic and have them measure the oil pressure. If it's ok, they can replace the sensor and you'll be fine.

How do i tell if i have a bad oil pump or a bad oil sensor

If oil level in engine is at proper level, I wouild suspect oil pressure sending unit, does vehicle have an oil psi gauge on dash,,,if so what does it read. if oil psi reads well then it may be an oil level sensor. if you have access to a manual oil pressure gauge, you can remove the oil psi sensor and install manual gauge to get a true reading of what oil pressure is while running. if manual gauges shows low psi, then you may be looking at an oil pump.

My oil light is on and beeping like crazy on my 1997 volkswagon jetta and something in the motor keeps clicking on top of that i would like to know why?

Usually when the oil light comes on, its too late to save the engine if the sensor is working properly.

Check the oil in your engine under the hood. If it has the correct amount of oil, check the wire going to the oil pressure sensor located on the side of the engine. It may be loose or the sensor may have failed sending a false reading.

If you do not have oil in the engine " no oil pressure" you may have badly hurt the engine, and the noise you are hearing is the rocker arms begging for mercy.

Good luck! write back

I put air into my two front tires last night. THen my "check right rear tire pressure message comes on when I start the vehicle and the pressure reads 53 lbs even though a manual rire gauge shows 32...

Two things, first try another tire guage, second the sensor is bad. these can cost up to $80.00.
Replace the sensor or ignore the light and keep check on the tire pressure.

The oil light keeps coming on with a bell

If your oil gauge if you have one reads good pressure, more then likely you have a bad sensor, if you just have an oil light, take it to a repair shop where they can do an oil pressure test. Have it check, low oil pressure can cause major engine damage.
