1999 GMC Suburban 1500. What can cause a battery drain in 1990 GMC Suburban?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to model category.

The first obvious thing to do it check for lights left on, dome light, hood and trunk lights.

This is how you test for what is causing the parasitic drain.

The 1990 Chevrolet Suburban has the most common hook-end wiper arms. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through.

My 1990 suburban 350r wont start, engine cranks over but nothing after that. not a fuel problem, checked that. what could it be?

if your sure it is not a fuel problem,do you have spark, if not i would have the ign coil and ign module tested.if you have spark i would say it is in the timing.

When you replaced the fuel pump, did you notice if the pick-up line was in good condition or not? I have been told by a mechanic that has over 35 yearsof experience that this was a common problem, and especially now with Ethanol being mixed in with fuel.

I have a 1990 Chevy Caprice. I just put a new starter on it and now the whole car wont start. the lights wont come on or anything. I charged the battery but nothing happened.

I would make absolutely sure that I did not hook the battery up backwards, not uncommon.
And in addition to the high current thick cable from the positive terminal to the starter there
is the small connector to the relay on top. Easy to forget that also.

If you hooked the battery up backwards you now need another car as the wiring harness is cooked.

1988 jeep 4.0 battery installed backwards now cranks but wont start

have you checked all ofyour fuses? usually when you hook up a battery backwads you end up blowing a fuse and or fry your alternator on older modeled vehicles as there is no protection for it.
