The radio in my Toyota Avalon 1995 stopped working, could it be a fuse? First it will start randomly some days but now it has been more than a week that it hasn't worked.

do you hear a click when you turn the ignition key, if not then its could be the switch on the ignition or the ignition relay either one could of worn out.
Your problem is likely a bare wire under the ash that is hitting metal when it moves. You'll have to open up the dash and trace out you wire harness, Start at the radio connection and work back looking for a bare spot in the insulation or maybe even jjust a crack in it. Tape it up and try to reposition it so it doesn't hit metal or chafe again. Hope this helps.
it being an avalon it is a higher end car. a lot of cars these days have external amplifiers factory installed. I would start checking fuses. it might be an aux power fuse or it might have radio fuse. they generally have two fuses that power them though. one that supplies 12 volts continuously so that all presets remain in memory, and the 12 volt switched power source that tells the radio that the key is on. I know that you said that the radio is functioning properly just no sound but your best bet would be to just start checking fuses. there is a fuse box inside car and also a fuse box under hood. you generally have to remove a small black cover and you will see the outside fuse box. when checking fuses though pay attention to anything that isn't working such as the cigarette lighter or horn, these are sometimes the power supplies to the radio. hope I didnt confuse you but an 05 is kinda too new for you to have a bad radio. more than likely something little just one of those aggrivating little jobs of finding what it is.
