First thing to do is make sure your dimmer switch is turned all the way up to high. Next thing to do is check the instrument cluster fuse located underneath the drivers side steering wheel (bottom left side). Remove the fuse box cover lid and then flip the plastic fuse box cover over and you will find a small diagram showing where this fuse is located. Replace this fuse with a new one of the same number amp. A burned out fuse would cause your unit to not work correctly

I would check all of your fuses to make sure none of them have blown. Also your odometer and trip settings are based off of you speedometer is if it breaks it will take keep other things from working until it is repaired. also if you feel any difference in your shifting it can be due to the fact the your speedometer is not working I would take it to a certified auto shop as soon as possible if a blown fuse is not the cause of your problem.

I hope this helped.

Thank you,
Norse

Which fuse runs speedometer for hyundae santa fe

The fuse for the instruments also powers the speedometer as well as the other instruments. If your speedo only is not working, it may be a bad VSS (vehicle speed sensor) on the transmission or the speedometer itself may be defective.

My Speedometer on my 2001 Santa Fe is not working, was there a recall on this part. Please advise. Thank you. So many have had problems and concerns with this issue.

There is a gear on the back of this gauge they do fail over the years it might be this or you need to replace the speedometer cable.
You might want a mechanic to do this.
